Every morning we wake up, and every morning we have the choice: will we continue to do things the way we used to, or will we try something new?
In Buddhism, it is said that freedom is „the moment-by-moment experience of not being run by one’s own reactive mechanisms.“
So every morning we get to choose again and again, between freedom and safety, between daring to experience the unexpected or keeping things as they are.
What if every morning we thought of one small thing that we could change? Setting the intention to make somebody smile, or to be a bit friendlier to someone we’re not having an easy time with? To call a friend or family member, even if we have a million other things to do?
What could change, and might the outcome be worth the risk?
